Novem is an IT partner providing Cloud-based solutions, Managed Services, and Consultancy. With offices in Colwyn Bay, Cheadle and Knowle, we support SMEs from across the UK with technology that supports productivity, security and business growth.

That’s us on paper, but in practice we’re so much more than that… We’re a partner in your success journey. We’re there to help when things go wrong, support you outlining and achieving your business goals, and celebrate all your wins with you along the way. Since day one, we’ve focussed on building long-term relationships empowered by knowledge and trust. Whether you need Managed IT Support, cybersecurity, Cloud solutions or just an extra helping hand sometimes, we’re here to support you.

History

Company history

Novem was formed by bringing together three specialist IT businesses into one unified team in 2024. Although we started as separate businesses, we gel together really well. We’ve pooled decades of experience and a broad range of deep technical knowledge into a single organisation that can provide UK SMEs with exactly what they need. We share a unified vision and values, and are committed to continuous improvement and skillset growth. Looking to the future, we hope to become the go to Managed Service Provider for UK SMEs, providing measurable value and exceptional customer service.

2000

The earliest iteration of Novem was founded

Risc IT Solutions, one of the businesses that would eventually become Novem, was founded in 2001 as a very small cloud backup provider. We pioneered cloud backup in the UK being one of the only businesses to offer this brand new and exciting solution at the time.

2007

Novem IT and the MSP arm of our business was founded

The original Novem IT was founded. They started small, offering fully Managed IT Services to SMEs in Manchester, the North West and surrounding areas. They wanted to fill the gap in the market for an MSP that was heavily focussed on top class customer service and deep technical knowledge.

2008

Expanded our offering to include wider IT products

We began working closely with Microsoft, ESET, and Cloud infrastructure providers to expand our offering. As well as providing data backup, we were now able to provide an entire range of cyber security solutions for our clients.

2022

Risc IT Solutions was acquired

This was a very exciting time with lots of opportunities for growth and advancement.

2023

We moved into a shiny new office in Colwyn Bay.

After listening to staff feedback it became clear that our old Wales office didn’t cut the mustard anymore. We moved into a new open plan office space with lots of windows and space for our growing team.

2024

Novem IT joins the group.

Novem IT, an already successful and growing MSP business in Manchester, joined forces with Risc IT Solutions. The was the beginning of our ‘group’ and our first business merger.

2025

A growing group

We welcomed Infrasys, a fast-growing IT provider based in Birmingham, to our group. They became our third business acquisition, signifying a turning point in our growth journey.

2025

The NEW Novem

We start a new chapter by rebranding as Novem, bringing all three businesses under one banner, brand and name. This is the start of our future; we’ll continue to welcome new organisations into our group with the ambitious goal of becoming the go to MSP and technology partner for UK SMBs, with a focus on excellent customer service and deep technical knowledge.
